I want them to read them and hopefully gain something out of them. This is the driving factor for me to setup a blogspot in the first place.
September 2018 Updates
- Have a good attitude (or, at least the best one you can manage.) Do you job or task or chore with as much love as you can and you will be able to deal with anything.
- Learn a language, or instrument, or have any other positive creative outlet. If you fail at all of these, make sure you have given them enough practice
- Don't waste your time on someone that doesn't value you.
- Always carry a pen. It truly is mightier.

- You don't have to eat 3 meals a day to be healthy. In fact, you can eat one healthy meal at dinner time and maintain better health than dividing the same meal into three equal parts. See Intermittent Fasting
- Work out. At least 3 days a week for 30 minutes. THERE IS ALWAYS TIME
- Take pictures or videos. Be hesitant to delete...you will thank yourself years later.
- Have a plan. And a backup. And a third, just in case.
- Carry two knives. Two is one, one is zero.
- Get handgun training for safety first, then proficiency.
- Get your Concealed Carry permit. (If you still can)
- It's OK to be a man. It's OK to be a woman. The two genders are different...celebrate this.
- Back up your data and pictures. You cannot replace what is lost due to an inevitable hardware failure.
- Read the news. From various sites. Even the crazy or opposing ones...make your own judgement and be aware of agendas being pushed.
- If you love someone, tell them so.
- Throw your hat into the ring. I have had the privilege to do many awesome things...only because I had the nerve to raise my hand.
- Do your research. From cars to computers to health, you will never regret taking a breath, or a day, a week, or a month getting "smart" on whatever your heart wants to delve into.
- In fact, don't always do what your first thought or impulse tells you. Unless you are threatened to run for your life, of course.
- Discipline gets you places. Small improvements over time are the best way to live.
- Always seek to improve yourself. We are never done learning or improving.
- Read. Even if you feel like you don't want to. Many people do not bother to read, and have a much more difficult time figuring things out. See My Book List
- Seek to be positive. Also, seek to find the positive aspect of whatever you are going through. Even if it makes you look cheesy.
- Be on time. And when I say "on time", I mean about 15 minutes early. It shows respect and it reduces your stress.
- Dress one click above everyone else. Have your own style, even if you gently follow trends.
- Don't be a jerk. Sometimes, this will be easier said than done.
- Be a friend. Especially if there is someone that nobody else is being a friend to. We all have something in common.
- There are pretty people that are ugly inside...and vice versa. Don't waste your time on the ugly-on-the-inside people.
- Farts are funny.
- Mentally count down from 3 before answering a question. Think of a better response and don't always emotionally react from your mouth before your brain catches up.
- Strive to give more than you take. This goes for the work environment...and more so at home.
- Leave it cleaner than you found it. Wouldn't it be great to take a hike and have a hard time finding a piece of trash to pull out of the forest?
- Music makes the task easier. Also, open your horizon on musical genres. See my music list
- Manage stress. This doesn't mean avoid it...there are good stresses on our lives that motivate us...just learn what your personal stress-reliever is and use it.
- Time and place. If you're on a strict diet, make time for your friends' birthday cake.
- If everyone is doing something...think twice before doing it. (What led up to 2007 housing crash) You might find yourself missing the next big thing, but you will almost DEFINITELY avoid the crashes.
- Do the job or task that nobody else wants to do. (But don't fill your day with all the bad jobs, save some for the other go-getters!)
- Be positive, motivated, and on-time at work...or whatever you set out to do. Just make sure the boss is aware of what you do...without being a braggart. This will be a balancing act, but it's worth it.
- Be humble...but it's OK to take a compliment gracefully.
- You are allowed to have an opinion...so is the person with an opposing (or even offensive) one.
- The United States is the best country in the world. We are great because we are good. We protect more and give more than any other country.
- Debt is slavery. Although we live in the most free country, we choose to enslave ourselves with debt...new cars, credit cards, stupid expenditures.
- Live within your means and save first before anything else.
- A budget is not you being told what you cannot do...it is you telling your money what YOU want it to do for you. See daveramsey.com
- See my list of websites
