I should blog more

Wow, I created this little slice of the internet to hopefully have something to pass on to my kids to read my thoughts (if they ever cared to.) I do try to write in my 5 year journal and I don't have anything that they shouldn't be able to see. It's cool to look back to see what the day brought us.

Here I am a year since my last post. Feb 2022. I have a new career at NW Techs (working from home for a very professional and organized company, I can't believe the luck I have!) We are still under mask mandates and more and more people are pushing back. The vax mandate is forcing people (including myself) out of current positions and into others, or retiring early. This is constantly mentioned in the news about how there is a 'worker shortage' and they have 'no idea' why everyone left. I feel the rona situation is waning and they are either going to keep pushing and then manufacture a war with Russia or triple down on a new rona variant. I don't worry about myself, but Jenny is pretty distracted (rightly so) from all the tyranny. I am mostly worried about my kids (and all kids of their generation.) If they keep the masks and push for mandates against my kids, this will become a terrible place for them.

Wifey and I are taking a trip to AZ to have a look at an escape from the west coast. We both feel that if Oregon continues the hard left turn they took, that we could possibly put down roots someplace else. We found a region that isn't as hot as Yuma, yet not as expensive as Prescott/Sedona. A vax mandate on my kids to attend college will force this move.

I can tell these rona policies are grating on my family. We don't do as much as we used to and we just seem generally more down.

On positive news, we found Athey Creek Church online. This is where quite a few of our neighbors attend. I shared them with my Dad and he also watches now. Pastor Brett just connects with us in a way that speaks to us. He basically goes through the Bible and ties it to today. They also have prophecy updates monthly where he focuses on current events and how they fit. It is an amazing service he does for us.

OK, this was less motivation, but more of a catchup. I will keep my shortcut to Blogger up top and will post more often.
